Dyani Sakara is a Brooklyn-born entrepreneur, philanthropist, and President of the Dyani Sakara x Fosters Care Foundation. Her journey through foster care, adoption, and group homes in New York and North Carolina shaped her purpose: to create beauty solutions that celebrate and care for textured hair, something she rarely saw growing up. This mission is about providing representation and support to those with textured hair.
Motivated by resilience and a commitment to give back to the system that raised her, Dyani founded Dyani Sakara Essentials, a luxury hair care brand crafted with naturally-derived ingredients designed specifically for textured hair. Her philanthropic work extends beyond her foundation; each year, she gifts curated product bundles to cancer survivors and fighters, offering hope, confidence, and comfort during their journey. This initiative is just one example of the impactful content she shares about her brand's values.
Outside of building her brand and leading her nonprofit, Dyani is a published author, an avid reader, and a Bravo Housewives enthusiast. She also cherishes life with her husband as they celebrate nearly five years of marriage and continue growing in love and partnership.
